Escoffier Business School is a branch unit of Institut Escoffier, a globally recognized institution specializing in developing the learning capabilities of future professionals for the luxury industry with a French touch since December 2014. As a leading expert in luxury professions, Institut Escoffier provides a comprehensive range of European Bachelors and MBAs for those with an HSC, Baccalaureate, or other equivalent qualifications. Other awarded certificates and diplomas are developed for students with at least nine years of schooling and who are at least sixteen years old, in fields such as Pastry and Culinary Arts and the Global Foundation Diploma in Customer Service & Marketing, Business Management, and IT Skills. Through Escoffier Business School, which delivers UK-awarded courses, Institut Escoffier offers students the opportunity to pursue their learning careers from O level to A level. These programs are available on a full-time and part-time basis for adults interested in retraining, as well as short courses for amateurs.
Our history
Founded in 2014, Institut Escoffier is an international private institution established through the visionary leadership of Dr. Jerome Fabre and Tiina Fabre to meet the needs of the luxury industry and support Mauritius’ objective of achieving a high-income economy.
The institution specializes in the quality economy, specifically in the luxury industry, which includes sectors such as real estate, luxury cars, luxury yachts, luxury textiles, wine and spirits, luxury retail, gastronomy, restaurants, hospitality, private banking, and arts, among others.
Institut Escoffier aims to equip its students with the technical skills and knowledge essential to master and excel in these industries, meeting the high standards of luxury service.
The Directors
Dr. Jérôme Fabre, Managing Director Chairman of the Board of Institut Escoffier, has over 20 years of experience in the Luxury industry, including textile, food manufacturing, agriculture, banking, transport, tourism, hospitality, catering, and culinary arts in both Europe and the Indian Ocean region. Dr. Jérôme Fabre masters both hotel operations and their managerial dimensions. Writer, trainer, and speaker, Dr. Jérôme Fabre is recognized in Mauritius as an expert in organizational learning in the luxury industry. He is a former academic scholar of the French government in hotel management. Holder of a Master’s degree in Economics and Sociology of Work and Employment and a Doctorate in Business Administration, specializing in organizational learning. A socially committed entrepreneur, Dr. Jérôme Fabre is an Ambassador of the Organisation Mondiale de la Gastronomie (O.M.G), Certified Expert in Luxury Education and Training but also the CEO of the National Committee for the Pastry World Cup (Mauritius).
Tiina Fabre, General Manager of Institut Escoffier and Certified Expert in Luxury Education and Training of the Organisation Mondiale de la Gastronomie (O.M.G), has over 20 years of experience in training and development in both Europe and the Indian Ocean region. As a Social Psychologist specializing in Work and Organizations, Tiina Fabre is qualified to conduct skills assessments, manage an evaluation center using psychometric development tools, and design customized training programs. Tiina Fabre is passionate about the education and training of young adults and professionals. She integrates theatre and role play into learning experiences across all programs at Institut Escoffier. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Psychology of Work and Organizations.
Loic Bonnet, non-executive director, he has more than 30 years of experience in the Yachting industry throughout the world. In the year 2001, he established Dream Yacht Charter, an enterprise that has since ascended to the pinnacle of global Luxury yacht management, as the industry leader and assumes the role of Chief Executive Officer. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Business Administration from I.E.P Bordeaux.
Nicolas Richard, non-executive director, has over 20 years of experience as an attorney and currently serves as Managing Partner of Juristconsult in Mauritius. He holds a Master’s degree in Law (D.E.S.S. de Transport Maritime et Aérien).
